The Center for Lesbian and Gay Studies in Religion and Ministry (CLGS) at Pacific School of Religion would like to invite you to this special half-day convening on advancing the well-being of LGBTIQ refugees, asylees and asylum seekers in the SF Bay Area.

We will explore the role of progressive faith-based organizations in expanding the network of support for LGBTIQ refugee and migrant communities. We will also share resources on holistic spiritual care, storytelling-based activism, and strategic advocacy efforts.

CLGS is invested in partnering with community members, activists and organizations to improve the lives of those who have sought refuge within U.S. borders after facing persecution in their home country because of their sexual orientation or gender identity. It is our hope to center the voices and follow the leadership of LGBTQI refugees and asylees in these efforts.

Lunch and snacks will be provided. We will also have a small raffle.

We look forward to having you join us for this convening!

For questions or concerns, please contact CLGS’ LGBT International Advocacy Intern, Abraham Darly at adarly@clgs.psr.edu.
