Want practical tips on how to make your community more welcoming and affirming to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) youth? Curious about LGBTQ issues in faith communities? If so, join us for this Transitioning to Inclusion Workshop

“Transitioning to Inclusion” is a 90-‐minute long, interactive training for youth ministers and religious educators about how to make your programs truly welcoming to LGBTQ youth. The first half is an LGBTQ Terms 101, offering opportunities for participants to think about their own gender and sexuality journey. The second half provides information about LGBTQ youth experiences in faith communities and invites participants to consider the resources they already have in text, community values, ritual, and curriculum to support these youth. If you’ve ever wanted practical resources about how to be truly welcoming to LGBT youth, please join us! Printed guides of this resource from Center for Lesbian and Gay Studies in Religion and Ministry (CLGS) will be provided for your community’s use. Please email kpacha@clgs.psr.edu with questions.
